Hi! I’m Victoria Wong, a clinical psychologist from Singapore. I completed my Master’s at the University of Queensland, Australia, and have experience working in hospitals and clinics in both Australia and Singapore. I have conducted workshops, trainings and webinars, and thoroughly enjoy talking about mental health and well-being. I currently live in the Netherlands and provide therapy online.
I am passionate about living courageously, compassionately and wholeheartedly. I believe that reflective practice, building deep knowledge and acceptance of ourselves, coupled with making sense of how we feel, what we think and how we respond in different situations are the keys to change and freedom.
I love working with adults with experiences of low mood and anxiety, as well as those who struggle with perfectionism, burnout, imposter syndrome, low motivation, procrastination, and social and performance anxiety. I have a special interest in walking with people on their journeys of self-discovery and helping working professionals build confidence and self-esteem.
Grounded in my understanding of attachment, I see therapy as a sacred space dedicated to honest conversations with a safe other with whom it is possible to encounter our unspeakable truths. I believe in a compassionate and collaborative process where client and therapist walk together towards understanding and change.
If you feel like you struggle with any of the issues mentioned above, know that it does not need to always be this way. If you are considering therapy and want to commit to meeting your struggles with sincerity, I see you and celebrate your courage. We can walk towards understanding and break patterns together.
For those who are looking for meaningful and helpful content to watch, I highly recommend this TED talk by Brené Brown – it is part of what inspired me to become a psychologist in the first place, and a talk I have come back to over and over again in my career.
